Yacht Racing
Racing comes in many forms. There are ocean races, coastal races, local races and then there is the extreme stuff like solo racing and trying to break world records.
Myself, well I love it all and my plans for the future include a lot of racing and some world record attempts.
My first goal that I need to tick off is to complete the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race this Christmas. Racing onboard Too Impetuous as one of the helmsmen, this race is one of the major ocean races in the world and I need to tick this box.
After this the next goal is to break the solo non-stop unassisted record for circumnavigation of Australia. I plan to use this to launch myself into the solo racing circuits of the world.
I will then head to Europe where I would like to complete the other major crewed ocean race of the world which is the Fastnet. This and the Sydney to Hobart are two boxes in my bucket list I need to tick.
The I would like to work my way though the European solo circuit including the Mini-Transat, Trans Atlantic and finally the big one, the Vendee Globe Ocean Race.
In order to complete these dreams I need sponsors and I am currently seeking a major sponsor to allow me to begin my dreams. Unlike any other sponsorhip this is more of an investment where we will import a boat from overseas, use it for the next 18 months and then sell it for the same, if not more than, the cost of the purchase.
