Based in the Whitsundays, Ian is available to skipper vessels up to 80ft for commercial vessels or any size privately.

In April/May 2010, Ian Thomson will make an attempt to break the Solo Around Australia
Record when he sets off from the Gold Coast in Queensland with an aim to break 50 days.

in 2012. Melbourne's Nick Moloney has tried and had keel failure off the coast of Rio.
This is the toughest ocean race for solo sailors and will take a lot of preparation and support.
